Now, here is a recap of yesterday’s chat:

Firms are still unclear on how to strategically employ AI

Despite the growing chatter around AI — companies still aren’t there yet in terms of employing the technology in real life. This means that most organizations are using more traditional tactics for security. In many cases, using AI for security purposes may not even be on their radar. However, this may change soon with the prevalence of online attacks.

AI could make identifying threats faster and more streamlined

One of the biggest benefits of AI in cyber security is the fact that it is automatic. Threats can be identified and handled more quickly and lessen the occurrence of human error and oversight.

Machine Learning could help mitigate security threats before they escalate

One of the biggest perks of using AI for cyber security is the self-learning factor. Algorithms could help to detect and mitigate small risks — and escalate large risks to human workers as needed. This could help to streamline the cyber security process entirely and allow security practitioners to focus on big, imminent threats and automate action on smaller ones.

All industries should be using AI

Our experts ended the chat in agreement that all industries should take advantage of the benefits AI could offer in cyber security. All organizations are currently using AI in some capacity, but as the sector grows, the benefits to AI on security will be even more apparent.

Please join us for next week’s chat at 12pm ET on October 4th!
