Bigg Boss 11: Dhinchak Pooja enters the house, Hina and Shilpa make fun of her; Twitterati responds

The Weekend Ka Vaar episode yesterday saw many ups and downs in Bigg Boss 11, but the highlight of the episode was the wild card entry of the Internet Sensation Dhinchak Pooja. Although everyone expected a warm welcome for the debatable singer, it seemed like everyone from the host to contestants were bent upon mocking the singer and Twitterati wasn’t happy with it.

It was speculated that Dhinchak Pooja would be a contestant in Bigg Boss 11, but when the contestant list was out it was surprising that her name did not come up. But, Bigg Boss had another plans as she was to become the first wild card entry of the show.

But, while the audiences have been waiting eagerly to see what made Dhinchak Pooja so famous with such limited talent, she was being treated very bad from the beginning of the show. While introducing her, Salman Khan took potshots at her for her songs. In a very sarcastic manner, Khan said, “Dhinchak Pooja has got the best music sense. She makes songs to give sleepless nights.”

Later when Pooja was asked to sing a song, and she helped Salman learn one of her songs, he made another sarcastic comment and said, “Yeh gaana hit karaya hai aapne? Mazak chal raha hai?”

After she entered the house, she was welcomed by some of the contestants while others were critical of her behind her back. While Arshi Khan and Akash Dadlani were particularly excited about her entry, Hina Khan and Shilpa Shinde were not so happy with it. Shilpa went on to call Pooja the mother of Arshi Khan in a sarcastic way.

Akash made Dhinchak Pooja feel welcome at the house and asked her to sing a song to which she sang Selfie Maine Leli Aaj and he rapped along. Shilpa on the other hand made fun of her and Hina Khan said she is scared. She did not even go and welcome the new contestant, both Shilpa and Hina said on camera that they won’t say ‘hi’.

The behaviour of Hina and Shilpa towards the wild card entrant was not taken well by the audience who slammed the actresses over their unwelcoming behaviour and they called Hina, ‘disgusting and arrogant’.

Dhinchak Pooja has been often criticised for her songs which are so bad that they are good. Most of her songs were viral and were made popular by the public because of the cringy style that she adopts. She along with some others have ushered the cringe pop genre in India and has songs like ‘Selfie Maine Leli Aaj’, ‘Dilon ka Shooter Hai Mera Scooter’, ‘Swag Wali Topi’, ‘Bapu dede Thoda Cash’ in her short career.
