Diwali season always works well for movies, and if the movie targets the family audience then it is sure to bring in profits for the producer. Golmaal franchise has always been a popular hit with the audience, although at times it defies logic but it surely provides entertainment.

The latest instalment of Golmaal franchise, Golmaal Again is releasing today and it seems like the movie has an even bigger starcast than the ones before. The multi-starrer movie has already released in some foreign countries pertaining to the time difference and it seems like the audiences have liked this Diwali release and recommended it to others.

Golmaal franchise is directed by Rohit Shetty who is known for delivering commercially hit movies although critics have not been happy with his last few films. Golmaal Again stars Ajay Devgn, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Kunal Kemmu, Tabu and Prakash Raj among others.

This time Golmaal franchise fourth instalment, Golmaal Again has tried something new and has brought in a horror element deeming the movie horror comedy genre which has been in vogue in the industry. The film has been certified with an U/A certificate with a runtime of 2 hours 31 minutes.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, the screenplay of the movie has been written by Shetty along with Yunus Sajawal. The dialogues have been provided by Sajid-Farhad. Rohit Shetty and Sangeeta Ahir have produced the movie under the banner Rohit Shetty Productions and Mangal Murti Films. The film has been distributed by Reliance Entertainment. The Cinematography has been done by Jomon T. John and the movie is edited by Bunty Nagi.

The story of Golmaal Again follows the story of the friends Gopal (Ajay Devgn), Madhav (Arshad Warsi), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Laxman Prasad (Shreyas Talpade) and Laxman (Kunal Khemu) who decide to move to a new luxurious palatial house in the neighbourhood where they used to live. But, all is not good with the new house as they soon find out that the house is haunted. The rest of the plot follows how these friends along with some other help solve the problem of the haunted house.

The film has used some rich production values which shows in the sets and the actions while the VFX is also upto date and is better than the preceding movie in the franchise. Acting wise, the actors have done a pretty decent job in a logic defying screenplay which offers laughing riot throughout. Tabu, Ajay Devgn are known powerhouse performers but it seems others have also given their best. A strong supporting cast including Neil Nitin Mukhesh, Johnny Lever, Mukesh Tiwari, Sanjay Mishra and Prakash Raj add up to the strength of the movie.
