Since last month it seemed like Google Duo would add its own calls to one’s phone’s call history. While the app asked for the permission of the users to manage the call history of their phones, it didn’t quite start to work yet. But now, with the Duo 14 app update, the function of this feature is now operational.

Although there’s not much to this update other than the aforementioned feature, it’s indeed a nice addition.

When you open the Duo app, the app will now ask you for your permission to manage phone calls. If you give the permission, any and every audio, video call will show up in your phone’s call history.

On the Google dialer app, video calls will be marked with small camera icons, while audio calls don’t have any special marks. On the other dialer, video, and audio, both calls will appear as normal calls along with the contact details.

You will definitely need Duo v14 for this feature to work. If it hasn’t rolled out to you on the Play Store yet, you can grab it from APKMirror.
