Being the only big Telugu release on the Diwali weekend, Raja The Great was expected to make it big at the box office. But, Raja The Great box office collection tells a different story. Perhaps, the Vijay fever has caught up in the Telugu speaking states as well where Mersal is running successfully.

Raja The Great is directed by Anil Ravipudi and stars Ravi Teja and Mehreen Pirzada in the leading roles. Raja The Great box office collection would have been affected adversely in Adirindi, Telugu version of Mersal had released but since the release of that movie has been postponed, it was expected that Ravi Teja starrer would do well.

Raja The Great is a comedy film which is touted to be mass entertainer with all the necessary commercial elements like songs, dances, action and romance and a few laughters to complement the progression of the movie. The film targets the family audience and has been awarded U/A certificate by CBFC with a run time of 2 hours and 29 minutes.

The movie is also a much awaited film because Ravi Teja would be playing a blind man for the very first time and his comic timing has proved to have been popular. Through the teaser, the film had created intrigue among the audience and now it seems like the movie is set to impress the family audience who expect some great film on the Diwali holiday.

The story revolves around Raja (Ravi Teja) who is blind but makes use of his other senses to work out through his life. The screenplay of the movie has been lauded by audience and it seems like the story of Raja’s mother assigning her blind son the task of saving a girl (Mehreen Pirzada) has been presented well.

Raja The Great box office collection in the Telugu speaking states by the end of the 3 days run at Box Office has been Rs 12.72 crores while in Karnataka it has managed to earn Rs 0.95 crores. The worldwide Raja The Great box office collection by the end of day 3 stood at Rs 14.43 crores.

Raja The Great has a music compose by Sai Karthik while the Cinematography is helmed by Mohana Krishna. The film is produced by Dil Raju under the banner Sri Venkateswara.
