Talking about the gothic-horror ‘Nenjam Marappathillai’ she said, “It’s definitely a dark film and shooting for itself was quite an experience. The role that I play in it is something I have never done before. I play a character called Mariam and it’s an amazing role. Working with Selvaraghavan was a great experience. I know for a fact that I am a very expressive person. For every word in a sentence, I would have an expression. He made me realize my facial expressions- how much my lip would twitch or my eye movement. He made me understand the actor that I am.”

Having completed more than a decade in the industry and making a name in Tamil and Telugu films, she expresses how it was not easy to cope up with the pressure that the film industry induces, “I always wanted to stand apart, but, I have had my bit of luck as well with the roles that came my way. I come from a non-filmi background and it was quite difficult for me in the beginning. Your fate changes every Friday. It takes all your willpower to stay in the industry.”

She is also excited about her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Aankhen 2’ but reiterates that she will be continuing with her career in Tamil and Telugu films even after the film, “I am very happy that I got the film. But, I haven’t started working on it. I will continue doing films in the south.”
