“IDIOTES” (GR.) — IGNORANT, UNLEARNED, UNSCHOOLED, IDIOT. “LEADERSHIP OF THE UNLEARNED”

“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13 NIV)”

“Ordinary men”, “Idiotes” in greek, literally means unschooled, unlearned, or idiots. Idiots who are clueless about what they’re doing but passionate about pursuing the vision God has given. Idiots who do not know what may happen in the near future, but trust that God controls everything including the future.

We’re a bunch of idiots. Not ordinary idiots. But idiots who are willing to take the risk just so God will get the greater glory, not us. This blog highlights the mistakes — and the victories — of unlearned leaders, trying to make a difference in their own little ways.
