Hello to IDRONECT 2.0

Hello World !

Hello to IDRONECT 2.0. and welcome to the IDRONECT blog.

Besides our website , this blog is one of our channels to share information about our application, drone flying, flight safety, technological innovation, cloud-based computing and much more.

On June 28th 2016 we said goodbye to our trustworthy launching vessel, IDRONECT 1.0 and celebrated the birth of our newest version IDRONECT 2.0. The newest version of IDRONECT coincides with the launch of this blog.

A lot of work went into redesigning IDRONECT’s workflows, adding new features, simplifying the processes, while keeping the basic principle onboard, which is to make flying drones easy and safe.

Two big reasons for the change: First, because of our users feedback over the last months and second because of a change in philosophy from the (Belgian) aviation authorities’ side.

The first we welcome with great pleasure, and we are taking necessary steps to make it even easier to give us feedback (use our Intercom in-app feature in the lower right corner).

The second, …, well that’s outside our control, and we respect the decisions which were made. However, it was clear that with those decisions, IDRONECT 1.0. no longer had a future. Version 1.0. made drone management fully digital, for all parties. Version 2.0. makes drone management fully digital for the drone user or pilot. We also allow the platform to be prepared for all the nice features we will be introducing. We hope to see the other partners in drone flying coming back to the digital age very soon. For now, we’d like to focus on our users.

We are positive and keep looking forward, and we are very confident that unmanned flight has a great future and massive potential. We are by your side to help make it happen.

Have a look at the next article, which highlights the biggest changes in IDRONECT 2.0.

Welcome and happy reading !
