Briefing session by Mr. Rahul Shetty
The mentorship program was kicked off by Electronics Department Alumnus Mr. Rahul Shetty, who has done his specialization in Process Control Systems, Embedded Systems and Hybrid Electric Vehicles. A vast array of topics were discussed by him that resulted in an interactive session from the students’ side as well. His primary focus was to encourage the students to learn based on their interests. Upcoming technologies such as AI and their implications in Machine Learning and Neural Networks were discussed by him which helped to get the session going as the students were seeking something unconventional from it. He talked about various websites and applications that are used currently for learning by universities and institutions abroad and how they are much more effective than the conventional learning methods that we are familiar with, such as Udacity, MIT Courses, Coursera, etc. He shared his ideology about learning and gave a brief idea about EV cars and its potential market on a global scale and how they are the best alternatives for a safe future. He ended the session by saying,” Absorb the right knowledge and reject the noise.”
