GitHub student pack
Many of us don’t know about GitHub student pack or heard and never checked it. Github student pack offers many premium services for free to students. This is a list of services included in GitHub student pack and that I like to use as a software engineering student:
JetBrains:
Jetbrains is one of my favorite IDE software (Integrated development environment) that I use every day in my projects, I usually use (IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Clion ).
Benefit: A free subscription for students, to be renewed annually.
Educative:
Educative.io is one of the best websites to learn and develop your coding skills quickly, it offers many courses in different coding fields.
Benefit: Get 6 free months of 60+ courses covering in-demand topics like Web Development, Python, Java, and Machine Learning.
Frontend masters:
FrontendMasters is another amazing website to learn coding and improve your coding skills.
Benefit: Free 6-months access to all courses and workshops.
DigitalOcean:
After learning how to make your project, Now it’s time to deploy it in a cloud server. So DigitalOcean is one of the best cloud hosting providers. It is a simple cloud hosting, built for developers.
Benefit: $50 in platform credit for new users.
Interviewcake:
As its name indicate, it makes an interview a piece of cake. It helps you to understand coding interview questions and test your knowledge in every software engineering topic.
Benefit: Access to the full coding interview prep course for 3 weeks.
Canva:
It an awesome website that helps you to make professional (Posters, Report,…) easily.
Benefit: Free 12 month subscription of Canva’s Pro tier.
How to get GitHub student pack:
1. You need to have a university email :
For Ensias students go to ( scolarité ) ask for your university email, or send an email wich containing your first name, last name.
2. Activate GitHub student pack :
First, you need to create a GitHub account with university email or link your GitHub account with your university email.
Second, go to Github student pack, click get the pack :
Fill and submit the form:
You will receive an email that says, they're going to answer you after 7 days.
Check your email, and if you get this :
Congratulations, now you have your GitHub student pack.
3.Get your free services:
Every service you want in this student pack, just type on google the name of the service and add Github student after and you can get your pack.
