The pandemic has been as devastating to our lives as nothing has ever been. Just when we were about to reach the peak of knowledge and efficiency, the pandemic shook the entire world. The world has significantly changed since its outbreak, and the worst-hit sector is the economy.

It has been tough for the small business to keep thriving. But we have figured out some tech tools that could help the business to sustain in these trying times as the world will never be the same as we knew it before the pandemic.

1. Engaging, and Visually Appealing Websites

Online purchasing has been trending among consumers even before the crisis. With quarantines and shut down local stores, the percentage of consumers looking for online businesses is bound to witness a rise. In that case, if the website is up to the mark, it will help the business to stay afloat regardless of the crisis.

Website developers can deploy features such as live chat boxes, easy navigational toolbars, social media widgets, etc. and can make it visually appealing in general.

2. Easy to Use E-Commerce Options

The most quintessential business models are mostly working online. A basic website is relevant to the needs of the crisis but not enough. E-commerce elements can give a boost to business and keep profits afloat or at least bring down the losses due to poor sales.

A variety of E-commerce plugins are available on the internet but the UI plays an important role in the sales by holding the consumers on the website longer. Owners can also employ POS devices for the same.

3. SEO, SMM, and Backlinking Strategies

Following the search engine’s algorithm helps businesses rank high in the user’s search results. Appropriate tools for SEO can be employed which help in using the keywords that users generally use and increasing the dwell time of the user on the website.

Good Social Media Marketing not only helps in backlinking the website and increasing the web pages but enhances the reach of the website. Facebook and Instagram can be really efficient in redirecting the traffic to the website especially in the case of E-commerce. Consumers also tend to use social media outlets to search for businesses around them.

SMM tools that give insights on the business reach are also trending these days while Instagram has similar inbuilt features for the business accounts.

Local businesses can also use such apps for checking products in real-time, providing services, for sale purposes, and to coordinate with the staff members.

The value of good health and sanitation has drastically improved. To keep the workforce and customers intact, it is important to keep up with the hygiene standards.

Apart from the simple infrared thermometers and social distancing measures, it is the most appropriate time for businesses to shift towards cashless transactions. Contactless payment systems, dining, etc eradicate the need for in-person interactions and thus protect from the contagion.
