We have received exciting news coming straight from China: Dr. Haiwu He has been selected as a member of the Blockchain Expert Committee of the established China Computer Federation (中国计算机学会). It has only 78 members in total.

The China Computer Federation (CCF) was founded in 1962, member of China Association of Science and Technology. The aim of CCF is to promote the progress of computer research, education, industry and applications in various areas in China.

Professor Haiwu He was a research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CNIC / CAS). In 2013, it became the “Chunhui Scholar” of the Ministry of Education. Professor Haiwu He obtained a master’s degree and a doctorate from Lille University of Science and Technology in France in 2002 and 2005, respectively. In 2007, he completed his postdoctoral research at the 11th University of Paris. From 2008 to 2014, he worked as a research engineer at INRIA, Lyon, France. He has published more than 30 journals and conference papers. His research focuses on P2P distributed systems, cloud computing and big data.

Here’s why this is excellent news for iExec:

  • The CCF is a very established community of both universities and businesses.
  • It gives iExec the opportunity to talk to major players like Tencent, Alibaba, Huawei and other giants of the industry.
  • iExec will be able to bring their own unique proposal to the table, who’s solution may be of great interest to others in the community.

On top of that, iExec are already in close contact with serious players in China’s blockchain industry and this kind of endorsement further strengthens iExec’s credibility in within the market. iExec’s co-founder Dr. Haiwu He is also one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business in 2017 (FastCompany China).

iExec are on their way to infiltrate the Chinese market, having recently signed a contract with BeYou, a Chinese crypto PR agency and we hired a community manager who will help the team to spread the message on Chinese social networks. She’ll be operating from Hong Kong City.
