iExec becomes an ‘Expert of Blockchain Technology’ at H7, the biggest space dedicated to start-ups in the city of Lyon, France. H7 will officially open on April 1st, bringing together entrepreneurs from all walks of life who will benefit from personalized support from innovation actors in the region.

The Halle Girard, located in the heart of the Confluence district in Lyon, is a former nineteenth-century steel fabrication factory, reinvented as an incubator for startups. With over 5000m² of working space, start-ups can use the space to work on their innovations, while inspiring new collaborations and partnerships.

As a partner of H7, iExec will serve as an expert in the field of Blockchain. The partnership aims to support the various startups on campus, helping them understand the technology and how it can be applied to uses in their respective sectors. Specifically, iExec will run workshops throughout the year alongside other H7 partners. In addition, iExec will have their own premises within the hall, allowing for the regular follow-ups with projects.

On March 15th, during the press conference of the official launch, Gilles Fedak, CEO and co-founder of iExec, spoke at a round table, explaining how the objectives of iExec and how they contribute to H7. iExec aims to be a driving force in the development of new technologies, particularly within the Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence industries.

The launch of this incubator in Lyon is excellent news for iExec and for the city’s economy in general as it allows for synergies between different actors, benefiting the region’s industry.

iExec has developed a global marketplace for computing resources based on the Ethereum Blockchain. Computing power, data, and applications can be monetized on this decentralized market. The iExec solution bridges the gap between these modules while significantly reducing costs and avoiding reliance on traditional centralized cloud services.
