How To Pitch
You need to have a Medium account to pitch. You can request to be added as a writer in the comments of this post. Once accepted you will publish your piece on your own Medium page and select the three dots in the top right of the page to submit to the publication. Once published we look forward to you sharing with your email list, social media, family, and friends.
We accept original content touching a broad range of topics that fit under the theme of the publication’s “I Fired My Boss” tag line. I Fired My Boss is about reclaiming your power over anything that once controlled but no longer serves you. However you define your “boss”, be it an addiction, bad habit, unfulfilling job, bad relationship, or otherwise, these columns & contributions are to inspire and encourage.
If you have stories about leaving a toxic workplace, beating an addiction, walking away from an abusive relationship, overcoming fear or procrastination, starting your own business, improving your mindset, getting out of debt, or any such instance where you can clearly take our readers on a journey of understanding who your “boss” was and how you fired them we want to hear from you.

We encourage writing in your unique voice but will not publish work that can interpreted as obscene, graphic, oppressive, or hate speech.
Articles should include between 300–800 words, title case and sentence case, your writer byline (who you are, how to reach you, your credentials), and a title. You can include one clickable link in your byline and a relative clickable link in the body of the text. You can use your personal photos or any royalty free stock images on sites like pexels.com. Please list the image source appropriately if it’s not your own.
