“You don’t know me. But I know you. I know all about you.”

She raised her left eyebrow and backspaced the sentence she had just typed. It was too ominous. Too threatening. She didn’t want to scare anyone. All she wanted was to inflict massive pain on him. And she could only do that through the people he loved, because trying to hit him directly had only caused great trauma to herself.

So she had to be smart about this. Subtle. After such an opening line, someone would call the police, or toss the email away immediately.

“My name is Vicky. I have been dating your son for seven years.”

Pleased with herself, she smiled at her screen. If his mother hadn’t dropped dead from a heart attack after reading this, she would definitely keep on reading. No one would be able to resist such a killer opening line.

“I am also carrying his child; your grandchild.”

There was no need to check her Fitbit to confirm her heart rate had increased massively. Was she really going to do this? Was she this petty? This would cause great upheaval in an elderly lady’s life, which had already been quite turbulent over the past years. Outing his secrets would wreak havoc on his family and their tightly knit community.
