This post was originally posted on December 12th / 2017 over at IGDB’s old blog. We decided to save it / repost it here. Enjoy!

With over 40 years of the franchise, and with countless games released, we pay our own tribute by taking a look at All star wars games! All the way from The Empire Strikes Back on the Atari2600, to Battlefront II more recently, Star Wars is one of the few franchise that has touched almost every single gaming platforms and generations.

Since the first game released there has pretty much been at least one Star Wars game every single year in the past 37 years!

With a staggering 110 games in total (more if you start counting all DLCs/expansions/remasters and re-release etc..), it is amazing to look back at such history. Since the first game released there has pretty much been at least one Star Wars game every single year in the past 37 years, with the exception of 1985 and 1986! It peaked at 7 games in 2015 which of course coincided with the release of The Force Awakens.

With so many releases it’s also sad yet unsurprising to see many cancelled titles. More famously KOTOR 3 which no doubt fans would eagerly wish for considering the second one is the highest rated game in the whole franchise!

We’re all big fans here at IGDB of course, let’s take a look back at all Star Wars games. Let us know what your favourite Star Wars gaming memory is!
