Ignite: The Change Catalyst

A new initiative is taking shape across the nation to harness the natural resilience benefits of regenerative agriculture by creating a supply chain that connects regenerative farms, regional mills and community-based food systems through institutions such as hospitals and schools. The benefits include creating more environmentally and financially resilient farms, strengthening regionally based food economies, keeping dollars in communities, catalyzing entrepreneurship from farm to fork, and creating healthier communities. Basil’s Harvest has assembled a team of local, regional and national catalysts to kick the levers of change into motion with a pilot project in Peoria, Illinois.

Erin Meyer, CEO of Basil’s Harvest, and IGNITE Publisher, Carol Hays, will be joining social capital innovation catalysts and systems entrepreneurs from around the world at the TransformSeries Lab May 22–24, 2019 to discuss their innovative Farm to Food Service solution to scaling up regenerative agriculture in communities. Tell us what you think in the comments.
