Meet the team — Krystal Yang, CEO/Co-Founder of Ignite Tournaments
Ignite Tournaments takes much pride in introducing our CEO and Co-Founder, Krystal Yang, to our community and supporters. Krystal is a serial entrepreneur in music, gaming, and blockchain, and a former competitive gamer.
Between 2017–2019, Krystal dominated the mobile game, Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire, as the world’s #1 defensive “trap” player. She also led and organized teams competing in server-wide events and tournaments.
A highly driven individual, Krystal holds a bachelors degree from Baruch College and completed all coursework for a PhD program from Brown University. She left the program to serve as Partner/COO of SIVA Group, an event production and marketing agency for Kpop artists. In addition to driving highly successful marketing and publicity campaigns nationwide, Krystal oversaw tour booking, management, and production of major concert tours for Kpop sensations such as CL, Epik High, and AOMG.
Krystal also served as CEO and Co-Founder of SE Gaming Inc, an esports consulting company that provides account management services for competitive mobile gamers.
During her time as a competitive gamer, Krystal discovered that there was no mobile application that existed which could enable tournament organization for mobile-compatible games with fast, equitable payouts. As a result, Ignite Tournaments was created to enable gamers, tournament organizers, guilds, and game publishers to organize their own mobile tournaments with a play-to-earn model that rewards the community for participation.
