What Is App Builder Contest?
It was first initiated in 2022 by our App Builder team at Infragistics with the idea to challenge and encourage developers and designers of all skill levels around the globe to create innovative apps using low-code App Builder + prebuilt UI components integrated in the platform.
Now, the contest includes bigger prizes and more exciting secret awards along with some basic but important requirements. And the entry date? The 2023 App Builder Contest is already opened for submissions, and it will close on November 17th. It’s best to enter and submit as soon as you have your app ready to avoid last-minute stress, technical glitches, and give your entry the time it deserves.
So, if you have already tried our low-code platform — great! You know how it works and can easily create a winning application. If you have never used App Builder before, now is your chance to see how easy it is to turn an idea into a beautiful, simple app and show off your design and development skills.
How To Take Part In The Contest & Create An App?
First things first, if you want to join in on the fun, visit the official App Builder Contest Page and sign up by filling in the form. Once you register, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to start building and designing your app using App Builder. You will start with a free trial of App Builder and begin creating your masterpiece application. Next, you can submit your work by November 17 via Twitter , Email or Discord through the shared link right from App Builder using the hashtag #MadeWithAppBuilder.
What Is The Criteria?
The winner will be selected by a panel of UI/UX experts who will review each app against the following criteria:
· Adherence to Guidelines — Your app must include the elements required that were outlined in the contest guidelines.
· Creativity — How imaginative and unique your app design is.
· Ease of Use — Ensure that your app is user-friendly and intuitive.
Using App Builder, create your own original app that incorporates the following prerequisites. We suggest reading through our getting started documentation that cover each of the required items.
· Use a Category or Pie Chart.
· Configure a Grid with the features you find valuable.
· Add at least 5 components from the toolbox.
· Each application submitted needs a minimum of 5 screens and a maximum of 10.
· Each application submitted needs to utilize a theme. You can either select one of the pre-set themes or customize your own.
· Bonus Points: add a Reveal Dashboard, set up App Navigation.
After that, the UI/UX experts will go through each application, choose the three winning apps, and announce the winners on December 7th.
