Introducing Ignition Lane

Today is the day when Ignition Lane is officially going live, and I couldn’t be more excited.

Having lived and breathed the tech startup scene for over 20 years, and more recently working in the trenches with startups in Australia and New Zealand, I have identified many of the gaps these companies were struggling to fill and what I could bring to the table to help them achieve the two key goals they were striving for: growth and scale.

In the past, I have found that leaders of high growth tech companies raise their hand and ask for help when they find themselves in a tight spot: they have either stumbled on a growth roadblock, or they need support and direction to figure where to next. It’s not that tech leaders lack the resources or will to drive the change, it’s just that they need that “kickstart” and “sounding board” to push on to the next stage.

And that’s why Ignition Lane came to be: it’s the path we take together that gets the ball rolling faster and channels the company into a new growth phase.

I love working with smart and passionate people, so I’m thrilled to have Nikki and Bex on the team. Not only do we complement each other, but together we bring a good mix of personalities, styles and different experiences to the table. Most importantly, we all share some core values that define who we are as Ignition Lane:

  • It’s all about the long term: startups are rarely an “overnight success”, and our super network keeps growing because we build meaningful, trusted relationships with people we value and respect.
  • We bring our best self to work, every day: we will always be straight talkers, team players and passionate people who make shit happen.
  • We drive results: we have a relentless focus on the client, their company and their products. We don’t theorise nor we are afraid to get our hands dirty.
  • Have fun: we want to surround ourselves with smart people and great companies, and no matter the project or engagement, make sure we are all enjoying ourselves.

We are already working with some outstanding companies at different stages of their growth journey: from early days when market-product fit is at the heart of every decision, all the way through scale and working the flywheel, to leaders and teams driving companies from $3m ARR up to $10m and beyond. Each and every one of these companies has different pain points, drivers and growth levers, but they all have one thing in common: the pursuit of growth. And we are here to support them, challenge them, and help them focus on what will make a difference. Because we believe in people and their capacity to create products and companies that can change the way we live and work.
