It sounds like a pretty vain use of astrology, but I have to say I both endorse and regularly advise people on using astrology to elect the best day to get their haircut.
Why? Because it is practical, and it works. It helps evidence astrology to people in a tangible way, and also because, let’s be real, getting a haircut can be a big deal for some people, and it is an event worthy of using astrology to elect the best timing for.
Although beauty is a Venus ruled subject, the planet that I usually consider first when electing the hair appointment is the Moon. This is the planet that rules growth, water, and can be related to the body. When in the lunar cycle you cut your hair affects how fast or slow the hair will grow back. The same basic lunar rules of growth that apply to plants, also apply to hair.
When the Moon is growing, hair will too
When the Moon is waxing, the two week period from the New Moon to Full Moon, growth is on the upswing, hitting the peak right before the Full Moon. If you want your hair to grow, cut it on a waxing (growing) moon, as close to the Full Moon as possible. Also, choose a day when the moon is in a Water sign for the most growth.
