“Moe” means “being strongly attracted to one’s ideals. ” It was coined in the Otaku culture and is often used when one becomes happy from seeing cute anime characters. “Dan” is an abbreviation of “danmen(cross section).” When one eats foods whose cross sections are beautiful such as thick hamburgers, sandwiches and meat piled up, the photos are taken, edited and uploaded by smartphones to instagram.
