”Naporitan-supa (Spaghetti Napolitan)” is a Japanese spaghetti dish flavored with tomato ketchup. Its ingredients are usually very simple: onions, green peppers and sausages. It originates from ketchup noodles from the U.S. It spread throughout Japan after the second world war, especially as a light meal in coffee shops.
It is commonly served on a hot iron plate and the heated ketchup flavor whets one’s appetite.
