“Wasabi-maki” is a kind of sushi roll that only contains wasabi(a pungent Japanese horseradish). It is a very unique sushi as wasabi is usually used as a seasoning to give a flavor to the sushi. However, in Wasabi-maki, wasabi is chopped into small pieces and wrapped around rice and nori(seaweed). It is cut into bite-sized pieces, before it is ready to be eaten. The powerful flavor of wasabi stimulates the inside of your nose, thus forcing you to shed tears. Once you can stand such a strong flavor, you may be addicted to its stimulation.
