As a project, IKONIC’s NFT Marketplace is for esports enthusiasts and gamers. A year ago we realized that esports is missing out on the blockchain revolution. This was a bizarre revelation since esports is technically the most applicable industry to blockchain technology.

The lack of connection between fans and esports stars is a problem. In traditional sports you can have your jersey signed by Christiano Ronaldo for example, but in esports your chances are slim, especially right now in the middle of a global pandemic. Although, signing a jersey is not a connection between fans, and players in esports. The most valuable asset of an esports player is their epic gameplay.

That is why IKONIC aims to build the bridge between fans and esports stars — by allowing them to immortalize their moments without any limitations. Today I want to show you the potential of the esports industry, and IKONIC. So let’s take a look.

Esports Today

Competitive video games continue to integrate into popular culture, global investors, brands, and media outlets are all in line to be the next sponsor of an esports team. In fact, there will be 29.6 million monthly esports viewers in 2022 only in the United States, up 11.5% from 2021, according to studies.

This number is only in the United States and now let us think of esports in the global sense. By 2024 the number will reach more than 500 million viewers. It is one of the largest markets in the world, and IKONIC aims to merge cryptoverse and esports.

The pop-culturization of the esports industry has helped power esports investments and revenue. Esports has hit new heights in large part because of the social component of live streaming and gaming. Of course, there are many reasons for this but one of the main components is the rise of streaming. Twitch, Youtube, and many more became powerhouses over the last decade and they propel esports into new heights.

Louis Vuitton, for example, is collaborating with Riot Games to design virtual items in League of Legends, Tiffany and Co. created the championship cup of the LPL and Mercedes-Benz created the Championship ring for the LoL Worlds. The brands from every industry are propelling towards esports.

The reason is simple, esports offers a unique way of advertising your products. Millions of people view your brand in real-time. With people’s ability to stream at their fingertips, there are no limits to who you can reach — globally.

Another aspect of esports is it allows you to integrate an interactive experience for gamers. Did you know that Fortnite had several virtual concerts within the game with names such as Travis Scott, Marshmello, and more?

But IKONIC is not only for esports players and fans, IKONIC is also for gamers. You do not need to be an esports star to create NFTs, you do not need to have a fantastic 3-hour video? All you need is a moment, a moment where you had a 200 IQ or created something amazing, or a moment where you created the funniest fail of all time. Gamers create these moments every day and we created the perfect platform for gamers, by gamers.

We are the world’s first dedicated NFT marketplace for esports. We combined esports and blockchain technology to make it possible for esports fans to collect the best moments in gaming.

The best moments of the players will not fade into history anymore. With Esports & NFTs, you will immortalize the moments in gaming.

Players will finally get the recognition that they deserve. Fans will have direct access to their favorite players’ unique creations much easier now.
