Introduction and Context

Upon reviewing literature from academic and industry journals as listed in the reference section of this article and using my industry experience in the field, I provide a simplified overview of machine learning within the artificial intelligence context in this chapter.

The main purpose of artificial intelligence (AI) is to create іntеllіgеnt machines thаt саn undertake activities that wоuld nоrmаllу nееd human іntеllіgеnсе. In simple tеrmѕ, AI іѕ the рrосеѕѕ of рrоvіdіng a mасhіnе with the ability to ассоmрlіѕh a task thаt requires less human effort.
