Dale Tecumseh Rosenquist IV Esq. sat behind his exquisitely appointed desk. Even by the standards of those who also possessed the wealth he had, the desk was over the top. A large 24-karat gold-trimmed black marble slab sat atop an intricately carved frame of rare African Blackwood, also accented with solid gold. A nameplate made of gold and platinum, with four genuine one-carat red diamonds embedded in each corner, sat on the desk.

The fact that Rosenquist owned such an opulent desk was a testament to his over-developed sense of self-importance. The fact that he had the artisans, who painstakingly designed and created it, sign a legally binding agreement to never reproduce their work to ensure his desk would be one-of-a-kind quality, drove home the sheer depths of his narcissism.

As one of the most powerful and influential corporate attorneys on Wall Street, Rosenquist had carved out quite a who’s-who list of clients that helped him amass a vast fortune. He constantly joked about how despite the name of his law firm being “Dale T. Rosenquist and Associates,” it was actually “Me, Myself, and I.” He often referred to himself as the “cunningest wolf on Wall Street.”

Rosenquist also fancied himself as a captain of industry who was a bit of a scoundrel. In truth, he was both, however, decidedly more…
