Growing up, I used to subscribe to Muscle and Fitness magazine. The muscles on Mr. Olympia or Arnold Classic bodybuilder were impressive.

If you don’t want to be an Olympian, you may even see the person in the gym who throws around weights like it’s nothing.

Maybe you’ve seen a post someone shared online about someone making $10,000 a month trading FOREX or penny stocks.

This is great to admire someone, but you have to realize that you’re not them. Whoever walks onstage as a bodybuilder, makes a ton of money, or you can fill in the blank, these people put in a lot of time and effort to achieve these milestones.

If you have this problem, here are three solutions you should consider. Admiring someone for what they did is great. But it’s not healthy to be jealous of their results.

Insecurity is the most common source of jealousy. People often throw around the term “inferiority complex,” which is not a clinical term, but refers to an underlying impoverished ego or low self-esteem.”
