8 Unconventional Benefits of Lego for Children and Families
How Lego came to be an inseparable part of our family life
When I heard Lego say, “You can also teach children to understand how actions and choices create consequences. This can help them to see how their behavior impacts their future — and the future of others.” I got hooked and wanted to try it for my child.
In this story, based on my experience, I want to cover and articulate numerous benefits such as family relaxation time, Legos building better thinkers, encouraging problem-solving, opportunities for social interaction and connections, sharpening focus, and inculcating mindfulness, boosting a sense of achievement, fostering collaboration and sharing, and building resilience, persistence, and perseverance.
I want to start with family time. As Candace Cameron Bure said, “The memories we make with our family are everything.” Kevin Heath informs us that “The best gift and investment you can give your child is your time.” Let’s briefly walk through our experiences with some examples.
