We begin with a dream.
Triumphant smiles
Reserved for future happiness
We see it happening —
Lush green fields
Paint a layered landscape
Millions of multi-colored butterflies
Upon billions of sweet-scented flowers
There is unity at the forefront
Swaying in a patterned flow
Sowing out love —
And a smile slips
And you catch it slow
The journey
Speeds up
Requires sleeping energy
All of me —
All of you
To run the track
A fraction
Delirious in action
Beads drip between seconds
Confused as time refuses
Revelation —
Push
Fight
Hope
Pray
It stops —
But it does not
Grow tired
Trembling for a breakthrough
Eager turns to grief
Circles ago
Dizzy
Somehow you still run —
Still believe
Unequivocal strength
Other worldly courage
Learning, yet —
Wait to turn
Into a brighter day
Live the dream
No more stand-by
It does not stop —
Patience grows light
Doubt steps in —
In traced steps
Round and round
Yet running in place
Your still — all alone
Reaching for the butterflies —
They have all gone
Finding it difficult
To continue to move
You carry on
And on
And on, and on
Magically
You can taste the air
You could not see them
For they were holding you
Up there
A golden ribbon will tear
Awareness is faint
But still there
To keep going
No win in infinite sorry —
Instead,
Pushing
Fighting
Hoping
Praying
Led you
To reach unexpected glory
All was not for nothing
Congratulations —
