The birth of Jesus allows all of us include him in our lives to live in victory because of his life, death and resurrection. The New Testament calls it reigning in life because of God’s free gift of righteousness and grace (Romans 5:17). This was predicted for hundreds and hundreds of years. Most people knew about it, but it seems not everyone really expected it.
The Arrival of Jesus
One meaning of the word advent is ‘arrival.’
God predicted the arrival of Jesus to Moses back in the Old Testament: Deuteronomy 18:15–19. Here, God was speaking of his future Messenger, JESUS, and his special divine Message, THE GOSPEL.
“I’ll raise up a prophet from their brothers. I’ll tell him what to say, and he will pass on everything I command him. And anyone who won’t listen to my words spoken by him, I will hold him personally responsible. I will require it of him.”
