Breaking Through in a Stagnant Era

I have been reflecting deeply on what it is to make progress lately. Society seems to be an unfolding game of who dares to be bold and who, by holding onto the unchanged, confines themselves in stagnation.

I recently even came across a thought-provoking quote by Thomas Sowell that resonates deeply with me:

“Seldom are the idle rich as hated as those who started out poor and worked their way up to modest prosperity, because that achievement is a slap across the face of others who have stagnated.” – Thomas Sowell

This sentence has stuck with me too because it gets straight to the point, which has been one of the causes of a widespread frustration when you see someone who puts their nose to the grindstone; someone who has ambition and they manage to pick up a little bit of success, no matter how slight, it is just met with resentment rather than admiration.

Today in the year 2025 our world is distinguished by a historically unprecedented economic crisis. Rapid innovations are coming at us – that is, for some – whoever can’t seem to quite go forward in the salaries and the opportunity.
