Equality Equals Freedom
Freedom only comes when all beings are equal
Everyone in bondage when equality is abridged
It has never been any true American realization,
African Americans and immigrants face discriminations
Women, the majority, still treated with gender inequality.
People should be given equality and freedom
All have same flesh, blood and divine spirits
Brothers and sisters in unity with all the rest,
No racial superiorities or special chosen tribes
All beings have equal claims upon this earth.
When will true awakening ever come?
Awakening to creator’s fervent promise
That each person has own unique gifts
And should be given dignity and respect,
Recognition of equal values all beings have.
Centuries of discriminations and segregations
Have ravaged humanity of our full potentials
Time and energy wasted in creating inequalities,
Equality only way for all beings to truly be free.
