Free speech used to exist as an integral principle of society which appeared unalterable due to its deep-rooted place. Free speech served as the base that established both free thinking along with lively discussions and advancing intellectual ideas. But today, free speech exists only as a theoretical concept rather than practical reality because institutions and corporations alongside digital internet owners now control speech beyond governmental oversight.

“Without free speech there is no true thought.” That is according to the words of Jordan Peterson.

Our present existence takes place inside a system which conducts secret and methodical control of thinking processes. This didn’t happen overnight.

In fact, free speech violations did not occur through an immediate coup against the First Amendment nor through outright bans against expression.
