The ink had hardly dried on the article announcing a lawsuit against Lizzo by three of her dancers, had Beyoncé already omitted to add the singer’s name to the ones she usually verbally features on her Renaissance tour. It was clear that Beyoncé didn’t want to tarnish her brand. She didn’t think people would notice, but they did, so after a fan frenzy, Beyoncé re-added Lizzo's name to her announcement this weekend.
Suffice it to say, that by her initial reaction, Beyoncé had immediately joined the court of public opinion that was already condemning Lizzo without any proof.
I can’t say I’m surprised, the Carters are a well-oiled publicity and PR machine. They didn’t really want to be associated with Lizzo in any way now.
