JOHN DENVER SAID HE LIKED TO BE CALLED ‘THE SINGER’
These Are Personal Stories I Like to Tell About Singer John Denver. I Knew Him Well for a Very Brief Time Many Years Ago.
This is a new article. I did one similar to this awhile back. But over the past year, due to things I’ve said, I’ve had some inquiries about John. So I’m doing a new similar article sharing some old and new things about him. In case you don’t know, John was a very prolific composer — well over 200 songs, and many songs became international block-buster hits. John died in a plane crash in California in October 1997.
I recorded a CD of songs I composed in tribute to John: THE SINGER.
I received several comments saying my songs were like a type of ‘reincarnation of John’s style of music.’ I’ll give you a link to hear THE SINGER later.I also wrote a book in tribute to him:
JOHN DENVER’S LEGACY:
A Fire in his Heart and a Light in his Eyes.
Both the book and the album did well on the internet between 1998 and about 2004, and his fan clubs really liked these. But emotional interest in John began to fade, and by 2005 it was all ancient history.
That is except for a few ‘John Denver lovers.’ Are you one of them?
