How Elijah McClain death was not in vain.

Elijah McClain’s life was snatched from him without cause as he tried to reason with no avail to the officer who grabbed him for no reason as he walked home from a local convenience store. As he walked in the neighborhood listening to his music with his headphones on, a caller noticed him and called the police saying he looked suspicious. For this he was accosted and killed by several officers as they tackled him to the ground and a paramedic injected him with an overdose of ketamine, a solution that ultimately led to his demised. He went into cardiac arrest on the way to the hospital and three days later he was deceased.

One officer was convicted in the 2019 death of Elijah McClain, a massage therapist, while another Denver-area cop was acquitted. Jurors convicted Aurora Police Officer Randy Roedema guilty of criminally negligent homicide and third-degree assault. Officer Jason Rosenblatt was found not guilty on all charges. McClain’s mother, Sheneen, can never get her son back but at least she was thrilled to get justice and raised her hand high in a raised fist as she exited the courtroom. Gosh, this is a Black mother’s worst nightmare when her sons leave home if they will return. Sadly, to say some do and some don’t return home.
