Let Education Breathe: Why Critical Race Theory and Government Bans Both Miss the Point
Real Learning Comes from Open Debate, Not Ideological Control
Education should empower, not indoctrinate. Students now find themselves engaged in political warfare over educational content in modern academic environments. The controversial meaningful educational approach known as Critical Race Theory (CRT) serves according to some as an essential method to fight systematic racism. One of the most recent executive orders by President Trump prohibits CRT in schools. He believes this framework fosters nationalistic hostility toward America as well as social division.
The limitation of intellectual freedom exists on both sides because of wrong strategies. I personally believe, educational institutions need to promote real discussions instead of forcing students to follow strict standards be it from academic progressives or governmental policies.
The central argument in Critical Race Theory states that racism permeates through every institution of America which leads to policies and laws that harm minority groups.
