My Newsbreak Heartbreak: From 17,000 Views a Day to Zero in 30 Days

A month and 2 report tickets later, my Newsbreak story distribution has virtually stopped for me and other writers

Welp — Medium and Newsbreak contributors a month and 2 report tickets later, my Newsbreak story distribution has virtually stopped for me. The stats are startling! As you can see on my most successful day I had over 17,000 views and it’s been going downhill from there.

Nothing had changed on my end. As a matter of fact, I was consistently writing community-focused stories in March and April. I was happy to hit the $100 milestone mid-month. Now I’ve earned $6.12 as of April 19th.

I don’t think this is a glitch and this isn’t the first time I’ve had a distribution problem on Newsbreak. I wrote about it earlier this month and when I first started — a year ago (I was so hopeful).
