It feels like it was yesterday, last week, or last month. I was expecting my daughter. But I was not biologically expecting her. It was through adoption.

Before I even met her, I had faith that the Lord would bless me with a baby girl. Even though social workers and adoption workers warned me that healthy infants were hard to adopt, I dared to believe.

When circumstances fell apart without explanation from the adoption agency with the first infant I was scheduled to adopt, I knew that my baby girl was coming home to me. And she did.

But before her arrival, family, friends, and co-workers blessed me with two beautiful showers. As a single mother-to-be, I was thankful that I received help in securing everything that I needed to begin my beautiful journey of motherhood.

One of the most precious gifts that I received was

“The Mommy Journal: Letters to Your Child”.
