My Tuesday
I am happy
Our favorite songs played in the car while on the way to the dentist. We never get tired of “We don’t talk about Bruno,” and Bella gets so animated as she sings 100% of the lyrics. I love that about her. She can teach you all about drama.
All went well, except Kaylee has 2 cavities. The hygienist and dentist warned them all to brush and floss at night. A graphic photo of a really bad cavitaceous (don’t look up that word, I just made it up — sounds good) mouth was displayed to scare them. They all brushed and flossed tonight. No issues. I am going to post a picture like that in each of their rooms.
Then I treated them to Duck, Duck, Donuts. Freshly made donuts of your liking on the spot. They are good. I watched as the kids enjoyed the sweet delicacy, fighting the urge to devour the glutinous Oreo donuts. I succeeded. It takes a lot of will power to be a parent and stay on the healthy track. I haven’t eaten healthy for the past two weeks and yesterday was my first day doing good again. I couldn’t possibly rationalize my way out of this one.
I dropped them home and tended to the pool (again) before heading to work. Work was great because I put a lot on my plate. I love to be busy. I love a challenge. I handled it like an alpha. The time went fast.
