Partnering With Readers
How do you treat your followers?
Did you know that as of last year, there are only a reported 54,000 writers and authors in the USA? That should make those who write part of an exclusive club representing less than .02% of the population, but does it?
We all want more readers, so let’s look at what you can do to build your audience.
Why write?
“A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.” Richard Bach (1936-present)
What would a writer be without readers? A journaler or personal diary keeper, perhaps? Outside of writing for personal use, most of us write for others or at least one other person.
Those of us who write find many advantages in doing the work. Some love writing to enhance their learning and understanding of specific subjects or to clarify their thoughts. Others write for the pure enjoyment it brings, or they may write with the intent of creating part of their legacy.
Still, other writers write for money. If you are one of them, you know it can be a difficult and long road to become accomplished. Those who make it can earn a great living, but far more writers earn little, if anything for their work.
