Reading Glasses? Seriously? Now I’m Officially Old

It came almost from one day to the next.

Okay, I’m not complaining. In the eighteenth century, global life expectancy was still 29 years. So the eyes are not designed to last as long as we live today. On the other hand, I know enough older adults who don’t need glasses at all. And I’m only 48, so what’s the point? Why does it affect me?
