I got knocked down, but I’m not out
This past Wednesday I was online doing my thing. I was about to log off the laptop to go get my weekly allergy shots. I received a message on my screen that I had been hacked. I don’t know what happened to my suspicious nature and cynicism, but I could have used it Wednesday Afternoon.
No wonder Facebook kept locking me out
It turned out that my computer was used to access porn sites and other stuff on the Dark Web. I don’t know how long that had been going on. To make things worse. Google terminated the YouTube channel I worked hard for two years to get monetized.
Trust no one, never let down your guard
I think the guy on the phone had my laptop long before I called the number on the screen “From Google.”
I followed the instructions like the trusting fool I turned out to be. The scumbag on the line was convincing, Before you could say, “ There’s a sucker born every minute,’‘ The asshole had my laptop, and if my wife hadn’t walked into the bedroom, he would have had our bank account, but that wasn’t the worst of it.
