Hebrews says we have a better New Covenant today
because of the finished work of the cross of Jesus.

This is in two parts. Part two will of course follow this one.

After the death of Jesus, the disciples walked the Road to Emmaus in doubt and frustration not sure what to think. They didn’t know the truth. Jesus said there were still many things he wanted to tell them but they were unable to hear them. So he had to choose another spokesman

Thus, he chose Paul to confirm and defend the gospel to them (Philippians 1:7). After his resurrection, Jesus spent three years counseling Paul in the gospel (Galatians 1:12–17). Then Paul took a trip to heaven to speak with God himself personally (Second Corinthians 12:1–4).

He put Paul in trust with the gospel (First Timothy 1:11). Paul did a great job. He even said those who didn’t preach the same gospel he presented should be cursed. He said it twice for emphasis (Galatians 1:8–9).
