Parables were how Jesus presented his gospel doctrine (Mark 4:2). He said we must believe it and live it to be right with God (Mark 1:14–15).

Some people think the parables were just cute stories to entertain and inspire, and were more like ‘fillers’ Jesus used to keep attention. NOT SO! They were how Jesus revealed truth God sent him to bring us to bless us: to empower us to live more successfully, beneficially and productively.
