The Gospel: Apostle Paul’s Letter to the Ephesians (Chapters 4–6)
This ‘Cliff Notes’ Approach Shows the High Points of the Gospel so the Gospel Is Seen in Context and More Easily Understood.
The Apostle Paul wrote half the New Testament after both God and Jesus taught him the gospel (Galatians 1:11–18, Second Corinthians 12:1–4).
But even the early apostles thought Paul’s writings were HARD TO UNDERSTAND (Second Peter 3:16). This is because the Old Testament law was the only thing religious people knew for CENTURIES. Yet Paul says in the gospel: “ALL THINGS ARE NEW” (Second Corinthians 5:17).
In this writing, I only pull the parts out that reveal gospel truth Jesus says we must believe and live (Mark 1:14–15). We’re told judgement will not be about sin for us, but about what we believe in our heart (Romans 2:16, Second Thessalonians 1:7–8).
I present only the gospel in Ephesians as systematically as I can, but to understand all Paul says you must read it yourself.
