The relationship between Urbanization and fertility is complex and entwined, with stress playing a pivotal part. Recently, I delved into this fascinating interconnection with the hope of untangling some of the puzzling infertility tendencies associated with urban living.

Roughly, infertility affects 1 in 6 people worldwide during their lifetime. It involves the adult population at a startling rate of around 17.5%.

The increasing prevalence of infertility in urban areas highlights the pressing need to enhance access to affordable, high-quality fertility care for those in need, but is that enough? Or should we focus more on the root of the problem within the framework of “urbanization”?
