Roger E. Mosley, the Magnum P.I. star and L.A. area high school track and field coach, was beloved by many for his giving spirit and a smile that melted many hearts. He was very instrumental in turning lives around and was a man of the community. He coached younger people to become champions, and winners, to value education, and was a role model of morals and ethics.

Actors get roles in film and television and oftentimes, a few are blessed to land the role of a lifetime and it becomes a part of the show’s DNA. That was Mosley, he played his role in Magnum P.I. so stellar that he became known for that role worldwide. The show was extremely popular and all the actors were perfectly cast.

Mosley was an ex-Marine T.C. on Magnum P.I. and played in more than 150 episodes which aired for eight seasons thru 1988. Equally notable, he guest-starred on a couple of episodes of the recent “Magnum P.I.” as John Booky, a barber and Vietnam War veteran.
