Put the pedal to the medal
pray so hard that heaven and earth shakes
living comes with highs and lows
ups and downs from the rearview mirror
a few may appear like headlights
smack in your face, knocking you back
sometimes the road gets so steep
you cannot see the end of it
when you have done all you can
what do you do when all is wrong
looking up ahead is daunting
the only seen is despair and…
